Materials Used

We have more than two decades experience in producing plastic products to meet our client's needs. We do this by offering high quality, efficient and affordable plastic injection mouldings.

Wide range

We are the main source for many UK businesses in helping them achieve their goals and continue their success. We help them achieve their moulding needs whatever the industry. We do this through our wide range of manufacturing applications as well as the wide range of materials used.

Materials

Through our wide material selection, we are capable of producing your moulding needs. We can offer helpful advice on the perfect material for your project. Below is an outline of the range of plastics that we can use in our injection moulding process.

Polypropylene

Polypropylene or PP is a thermoplastic. PP  is made from a combination of the propylene monomers. Commonly, it is used in a variety of applications. This includes packaging consumer products, plastic parts as well as textiles and hinges. It is also common within different industries like the automotive industry.

In terms of plastic injection moulding, polypropylene is a  popularly used plastic.  It is generally available in pellet forms. It is quite easy to mould despite its semi-crystalline nature. It also flows well due to its low melting viscosity.

Hips

HIPS or High Impact Polystyrene is considered to be an economical material. It is an impact-resistant and versatile plastic which is a rubber modified styrene. The properties of HIPS include:

  • High-impact for strength
  • Good property retention
  • Adhesive and fastener assembly
  • It is easy to be mould with a variety of geometries
  • It can be applied for injection plastic moulding as containers, household goods, housing, packaging, and furniture

ABS

ABS is an amorphous thermoplastic copolymer combined from   styrene, acrylonitrile, and butadiene. It is known to be easily moulded and can provide uniform shrinkage. It is used as automotive parts, decorative trim, toys and medical devices. When ABS is used in plastic injection moulding, it provides sink marks which maintain a uniform wall thickness.

Nylon

Nylon is known to be a synthetic thermoplastic linear. It is abrasion resistant, strong, long lasting, strong, and easy to wash and elastic. It is typically used in rubber reinforcement like for car tires, clothing, used as thread or rope. It is the material used for several injections moulded parts for mechanical and vehicle parts.

Poly-carbonate

Polycarbonate or PC is a  common plastic. It is odourless, non-crystalline, non-toxic, tasteless and transparent amorphous plastic. It is known for its toughness and strength, transparency and dimensional stability. It is used in medical devices, protective gear, plastic lenses, digital disks, and greenhouses. Deformation makes this plastic useful for prototyping applications.

Acetal

Acetal is a high performing engineering polymer characterised with strength, toughness, and stiffness. It is ideal for making mechanical parts like chain links and gears. It is highly machinable and it injected moulded parts are both best resin and part design choice.
